Introducing Sonnax Solenoid Stabilization Clip Inserts: A Game-Changer for 10-Speed Transmission Kits

We are excited to announce the addition of Sonnax solenoid stabilization clip inserts to our 10-speed transmission kits, specifically for the 10L80/10L90, 10R60, 10R80 and 10R140 kits. 

 

 

Addressing a Critical Design Flaw

The Sonnax solenoid stabilization clip inserts are designed to combat a known failure in the original design of the valve body linear force solenoids. These solenoids have a very small stroke to activate clutch control valves. Any loss of that stroke can significantly impact the valve's performance, potentially disabling it entirely. The retainers holding these valves are made of spring steel, which can weaken over time. This weakening allows the valve stroke to become off-center, leading to performance issues.

How the Sonnax Solenoid Stabilization Clip Inserts Work

By placing the Sonnax solenoid stabilization clip insert inside the factory retainer, this problem is effectively eliminated. The clip insert ensures that the valve stroke remains centered and stable, preventing any loss of performance.
